This Member has been working for long time in different fields of biomaterials, especially those based on biodegradable polymers and composites, and protein-material interactions. With a solid materials science and engineering background, this Member has expertise in the development of technologies and systems based on silk derived protein, including the processing of 3D scaffolds, films, nets, gels and injectable gels, which have demonstrated the ability to promote cell adhesion, proliferation, differentiation and activation.
